Figuring Things Out

Hey guys! First post, please be nice =)
So, it's like this: since I first saw a ball jointed doll I ... Well, you know, I guess that all of us that joined this forum must feel about the same passion for it
For years making them was just another thing I was procrastinating
But this month I actually did something: I started making tiny heads, expecting that some of them would probably become nice enough to start a body.
Turned out as me not linking none of all 8 of them
but here is the picture of them, if you are curious ^^;
In order of making. I liked the last one better, but it still is very ... uh... not right
I had the sketch there, but didn't followed it much =/ I'm starting to think that it would be better if it was a character created by me, not some anonymous drawing that I simply liked. Some character created to be a doll.
I have someone in mind, but let's wait to see. The only thing I know is that it will be tiny; not much bigger than 20cm. I will do some research and drawings to see what I get and I'll be posting them here.
At least, making 8 heads became a nice experience
* If you are wondering, the heads are fimo soft and tin foil cored
