Raven - Resin casting Trial & Error

Ok, here are a few pictures of what the resin is putting me through... oy.
This is the first cast I did. The resin turned out great, but he was riddled with air bubbles, and had a few holes where I needed to add more air holes to the mold. The color is ok, but not quite what I wanted as far as matching a Luts body. Also he somehow got something green stuck in the resin... I'm guessing it was in the mixing cup??

Now this is the famed squishy head.
The air holes I added to the mold took care of the holes on top of the ears, and one side of the headcap notch-thingies - the other side needed some more work.
He keeps getting harder day by day, but still the consistency is just awkward. And his features are so strangely softened and not as well-defined as the first cast. And that COLOR! I wish I knew what happened there. It's such a terribly, sickly yellow (worse in person than in the pics). Mayhap it would match Luts' "Beauty-Green"? X3

The two casts next to each other:

This is what the failed headcap pour looked like, even after 3 days. I was absolutely dreading taking it out of the mold, but luckily the underside of it was reasonably hard and I could lift it out with a spoon. Then I very carefully cleaned up the mold with paper towels. Again, I got lucky with that - most of the stickiness lifted up fairly cleanly. Ever used a piece of something sticky to lift up something else sticky, like using the sticky side of a decal on a glass door to pick up residue left from pulling it up? Like that.
The bottom of the headcap (well, the top, you know), was several different colors and had weird bumps. o.O; Well, as you can see in the bottom pic I managed to clean up the mold.

So I tried again today! This is my "workshop"... it's really a tiny apartment with appliances from the 50's that's above our garage, we use it as a "guest house" when we have people over. But right now it's mine, haha.
Don't feel bad for the dirty table, I bought it exclusively for this purpose. ^~

Must-haves to work with: Chris Rea and Adam Lambert. Whooo! ^_^ ♥ (and yes, that's a remote control K.I.T.T. ^^

This is the mold for the "face-part" of the head:

My resin looks pretty tasty... but it did last time, too. ;^;

Here we go! Wish me luck? I'll demold them later today, giving them plenty of time to set up.

Not sure if you know this already but you need a pressure pot to cast without bubbles. I mean it is technically possible otherwise, but difficult!
