Coming to a close

I haven't blogged here lately, because I have been photo-journaling the process of making molds for Ylisande in the WIP Dollmaking subforum

but now I am nearly finished, and there will be at least one more picture update (part 5), and maybe even a part 6. I've poured the four core-molds for the legs, and this can be a messy and frustrating business until I remember how to do it properly. Tomorrow morning, I will clean the clay out of the inside of the thighs and face, and pour those last mold halves, and by Friday evening, or more likely Saturday morning, I'll be able to pour a doll that I can string and test-play with.
Rung up the supplier today and asked about the SmoothCast 305 that I ordered last Thursday as I had expected it to turn up by now. As it happens, the courier (startrack express) has managed to send the package to Perth in Western Australia
(instead of Newcastle in New South Wales), and it won't be able to get to me until Monday at the earliest. That's as if you lived in Connecticut and your shipment got sent to California by accident Hopefully I have enough 321 left to pour a couple of dolls from, so I'll have something to keep me busy until next week, on top of finishing up a couple of other little things.
