
Delusions of being finished
Ron put five(!) coats of primer on Ylisande yesterday. We agreed that some of the parts should be ready to start molding tomorrow, and others would need more sanding and primering. I just went over all the parts and there isn't A SINGLE ONE that doesn't need more sanding in spots. Some parts are looking very good, but Aaarglrowfsdnxcdsvdskfbs!!!!!
Bloody ephemeral surface imperfections!!! I want to start molding.. because I have some new ideas for how to improve on what we did last time, and...

Contents of my workbench

Seriously, this isn't my workbench, it's the bench in the garage, which is really more my partner's. But he is the one doing the actual spraypainting (he's good at it, and I don't want to mess up the finish of this doll by learning on it, but I WILL learn someday).

Here in Oz the autumn season is upon us, so it's colder than other times of the year. We moved into our new house just before Xmas, so still getting to know it. Turns out it is very cold and retains cold very well... which is great in summer, but not so much now. Today I was in the garage with a hot water bottle strapped to my body in order to maintain digital dexterity. For those who are familiar with proper cold snowy winters this probably isn't that cold, but I am used to the hot summers so the...
