Raven - Resin casting Trial & Error
Posted 03-08-2010 at 03:20 PM by elisa_maza
Ok, here are a few pictures of what the resin is putting me through... oy.
![]() This is the first cast I did. The resin turned out great, but he was riddled with air bubbles, and had a few holes where I needed to add more air holes to the mold. The color is ok, but not quite what I wanted as far as matching a Luts body. Also he somehow got something green stuck in the resin... I'm guessing it was in the mixing cup?? ...

LJ entry from January 26th, 2010.
![]() Why not much in the way of updates on my sculpt lately? Because I'm in the priming phase, and MAN does it take FOREVER. First entry on Raven, from January 6th~
Posted 02-16-2010 at 03:32 PM by elisa_maza
Because I'm super shy about my sculpting projects, I wasn't brave enough to post my progress here, but I did make a few posts in my livejournal. ^^;
But since I've introduced him here now, I figured I'd c/p my old lj entries into this blog, in case anyone's interested ni my progress. He was already at a point where I was pretty happy with his face in this first post. I didn't feel so bad about the mechanical bits not being perfect, but his face had to be what it was... |
