Coming to a close

I haven't blogged here lately, because I have been photo-journaling the process of making molds for Ylisande in the WIP Dollmaking subforum

*twigling wanders off to dance to this song as it plays on the radio*

but now I am nearly finished, and there will be at least one more picture update (part 5), and maybe even a part 6. I've poured the four core-molds for the legs, and this can be a messy and frustrating business until I remember how to do it properly. Tomorrow...

There are some small issues with the upper and lower arms and legs, and long-story-short, it is because when I cut up, shortened and adjusted those parts I re-attached them with cyanoacrylate, aka. super glue. And every time we would spray, the paint reacted with the super glue and created a different texture. Then we'd sand it off and spray again and the same thing would happen....
